Expats Networking in Brussels
We're pleased to invite you to the third edition of our monthly networking event at Espace 53.

Located next to the Autoworld museum in the Cinquantenaire park, it offers free parking and easy access by metro (Mérode station).

Inside the spacious and comfortable bar we'll have our own reserved networking area, equipped with a microphone and big screen for presentations.

A welcome drink will be offered by our generous sponsor ING. Complimentary snacks will be served, and drinks can be purchased at the bar. For those who wish to dine afterwards, the Espace 53 restaurant offers a full brasserie menu at reasonable prices, including a "plat du jour" for 13 EUR.

Our main speaker will be Dave Deruytter, head of ING Bank's Expat department. Dave will speak about financial matters of interest to expats in Belgium. Then Filippo Marino will give us a Speed Presentation of his "World Cup Village" concept and sponsorship opportunities. We have time for one more 3-minute Speed Presentation, so please send us your proposal. We'll wrap up the presentations with "live tweets" (passing around the microphone for very brief announcements), and then letting you get back to your individual networking.

Here's the schedule for the evening Wed 19th May:

18.30-19.00 Registration & ING Welcome Drink

19.00-19.30 Networking, Drinks & Snacks

19.30-19.35 Keynote Presentation

19.35-19.50 Speed Presentations (2 x 3 min) and announcements

19.50-20.45 Networking continued

20.45 Dinner (optional, no reservation required)

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday 19 May. Bring a friend or colleague, and don't forget your business cards!

Handy guide for stagiaires "The Green Book Volume 2"
Dear stagiaires!

We would like to present you The Green Book Volume 2 - handy guide for stagiaires who are finding their feet in Brussels. Written for stagiaires, by stagiaires, it is quick becoming a Bible of advice on life in Brussels. With information on what it's like to work in the EU Institutions, tips on where to live and where to eat; it is a must-have guide that will make the transition smoother and more fun. You can find the online version of The Green Book Volume 2 here: http://europeanmovement.ie/index.php?id=7762, published by the European Movement Ireland (European Movement Ireland ©)

European Movement Ireland is a voluntary organisation that explains the work of the European Union in a jargon-free way. We do this through a variety of campaigns, events and other activities across the country. From hosting debates to answering questions on the streets, we answer people's queries about Europe, and highlight what the Union really does and why.
